What is Community Acupuncture?

The practice of treating several patients in one room goes back to how it was originally practiced.

It’s affordable. It’s efficient.

Because patients can get the number of treatments they need in a shorter period of time.

We can also treat multiple patients at the same time.

There are several benefits that I’ve noticed in my last three years practicing in this way:

  • It can alleviate anxiety for those who are needle-phobic or hate being left alone with needles.

  • I’ve noticed the group setting seems to increase the endorphin release. This is one of the most beneficial effects of Acupuncture because it lowers stress and helps promote good sleep, reduce anxiety and alleviate depression.

  • Friends and family can be treated together to create more intimacy, bonding and support.

  • It’s a statement of social justice in healthcare – a quiet revolution.

Most importantly, after decades in practice, I no longer hear “I would come to see you regularly but I can’t afford it!”

In this time of COVID, I practice every safe measure:

I’ve been vaccinated for two months, I keep the windows open, we have two purifiers, everyone wears masks, shield, we social distance and disinfect everything.

We can reserve times for seniors, immune-compromised patients, pregnant women, kids, etc. Just ask!
